LEGO The Hobbit Game Could Be Coming in 2014

Leaked image says unannounced game could be coming next year.

The second installment of The Hobbit film trilogy is only a few short weeks away — and now rumors are building that we may see a LEGO The Hobbit game as early as next year. As Brickfan reports, a picture leaked that shows artwork for an unannounced LEGO The Hobbit game in French. Although the game hasn't been officially confirmed yet, the ad will reportedly appear in the back of instruction manuals for 2014 LEGO The Hobbit sets.

The scanned image showed up in a LEGO forum first and shows LEGO-fied versions of Bilbo Baggins, Gandalf, and Thorin Oakenshield — as well as a release date of 2014. The logo doesn't include a subtitle, so it's still unclear whether or not the game would include events from all three Hobbit films.

Lastly, at the bottom of the ad, Xbox 360, Playstation, 3DS, Wii U, and PC are all listed as platforms — although it can be pretty much assumed that if this thing is real, it'll be on the Xbox One and Playstation 4 as well. IGN has contacted WB for additional information on LEGO The Hobbit. For more on The Hobbit games and films, stay tuned to IGN.
