The Xbox One launched worldwide today, and Microsoft is hosting a contest to find the best fan-made Xbox One controller design.
Contestants have until December 31 to submit original illustrations, graphic designs or other art to Xbox.com, where they can also download the necessary controller template in a .zip file. Each contestant can submit up to three designs for the controller's body, which will be judged by a panel of Microsoft hardware design experts, and by the public. The judges will select one potential grand prize winner and ten potential finalists.
The grand prize is a gift card for $1000, and the chance to have a limited edition run of the winning design, while nine finalists will receive $500. Additionally, the contestant who earns the most votes from the visiting public will win $750 –– submissions can be seen in the gallery.
The contest winners will be announced following the Jan. 13 - 27 voting period.
